EDM superstar Dead Mau5 and corporate behemoth Disney have engaged in a tit-for-tat and very public legal battle over the past week – Disney accusing Dead Mau5 of abusing their copyrighted Mickey Mouse head logo and Dead Mau5 responding with a cease-and-desist letter for an alleged infringement of his music copyright in a Disney music video. Disney has responded that there is no merit to his complaint and that the music used in the allegedly infringing video was legally licensed.
