Chinese Father Hires Online Assassins to Kill Son’s Online Avatar

A father in China, Mr. Feng, concerned that his unemployed 23-year-old son was spending too much time gaming online, hired would-be online assassins to kill his son’s gaming avatar in the vain hopes of dissuading him from continuing to play the game.

Of course, as any gamer knows, killing and death are quite common in video games and particularly in MMOs.

MMOs can consume massive amounts of time and are known for their addictive qualities. While the game in question is not mentioned in the BBC article, the above video is from current MMO sensation Guild Wars 2. The video shows off an epic PVE Group Event, the Claw of Jormag the Ice Dragon.

Enjoy!
