Kim Jong-Il’s Grandson Goes to College.

Kim Jong-Il’s grandson, 16 year old Kim Han Sol, will be enrolling in a private high school in Bosnia, the Mostar branch of United World College, and will be the first North Korean to attend the primarily international school located near Sarajevo. According to the Huffington Post, Kim Han Sol will be treated just like any other student and the school’s president even remarked how lucky the school was to have its first North Korean student and one from such a prominent family. Prominent family, indeed. United World College‘s network of schools was founded in Britain in 1962 with the aim of integrating students from countries that were antagonistic during the Cold War. According to the Foreign Policy blog, Kim Han Sol is the son of Kim Jong-Il’s eldest son Kim Jong Nam, the one who has lived in exile in Macau after being caught with a fake passport trying to enter Tokyo Disneyland. Kim Jong Nam was long considered heir apparent to Kim Jong-Il until the Tokyo Disneyland incident. Kim Han Sol‘s Facebook page listed his preference for democracy over communism, along with a definition of democracy.
