After his remarks caused a minor row with Riyadh, UK Prime Minister Theresa May answers for Boris Johnson’s recent gaffes

United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May addressed the Boris Johnson Saudi Arabia gaffe (among others) during Prime Minister’s Questions in the House of Commons. While the two Tories share an uneasy relationship, Johnson is nonetheless a formidable presence in the Conservative Party which helps contribute to a detente between May and the Foreign Secretary. As we reported earlier this week, Johnson’s friends came out in force to support him.
