Assad Regime Launches Relentless Airstrikes Against Rebel Forces in Aleppo

The battle for control of Syria’s second largest city

Assad regime shows no mercy as it pushes to regain Aleppo

The battle for the control of Syria’s second largest city, Aleppo, rages on between Assad’s forces, ISIS, and rebel factions within Syria. Much of the city of Aleppo is reportedly a desert wasteland devoid of civilization. Continual airstrikes supported by the Russian Federation have wittled rebel-held territory down into splinters and these last fragments are consolidated back into Bashar Al-Assad’s regime. The war in Aleppo has endured for five years. One target objective in the fight for Aleppo is control over the old city, which Bashar Al-Assad’s forces claim is imminent.
