North Korea Takes Pride in Its Human Rights Record, Disregarding United Nations (UN) Reports of State-Sponsored Horror

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) rejected a United Nations (UN) monitor’s report about the daily horrors that face citizens in North Korea. The delegation from the DPRK asserted their confidence in the North Korean social system and dismissed the special rapporteur Marzuki Darusman’s claims of political prison camps and forced labor, among other violations.
