The Yellow Sea between North and South KoreaThe South Korean Navy has reported that it has fired warning shots at North Korean fishermen who wandered into South Korean territorial waters in the Yellow Sea.

None of the shots fired hit any of the boats and all of the fishermen retreated back into North Korean sovereign territory.

Confrontations between the North and the South are frequent according to a report from the BBC as the area in the Yellow Sea is in dispute between the two nations, among other things.

The South Korean Defense Ministry promised to defend the territorial integrity of the South against any and all incursions by the North.
