Germany Outlaws Right Wing Group.

Germany’s largest far-right political group, a “Neo-Nazi” movement called the Help Organization for National Political Prisoners and their Families or HNG, was banned in an announcement by the Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich. HNG was founded in 1979 and is accused of inciting prisoners to continue their right wing views while incarcerated. Germany’s Office for the Protection of the Constitution typically has little tolerance for right wing groups that espouse anti-democratic and revisionist screeds like those of the Help Organization. Anything that remotely smacks of Nazism is stamped out quite quickly in Germany. Reuters notes that this action comes two weeks after the right wing party the National Democratic Party won back its seats in the state assembly of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
