A Wisconsin woman is being sentenced to jail for perpetrating the well-known Visine-in-the-drink prank on one of her friends who became quite ill afterward. The poor girl hopes to be a nurse one day, but those dreams may be dashed in the wake of a judge’s 90 day sentence for the prank. I won’t use names here because I feel like youthful stupidity is just that: youthful and stupid, while google is forever so I will refrain. Needless to say, while the girl had no previous criminal record, she did have a history of being manipulative and suffering from alcohol issues. The judge’s sentence was harsh to demonstrate that actions like placing Visine in someone’s drink do have real-world repercussions. Apparently it was not the first instance of placing these eyedrops in her roommates drinks as it is alleged in this article here by PostCrescent.com that this was one of many instances in which the roommate had ‘poisoned’ the other. The roommate visited a doctor who could not diagnose what was wrong with her after she had been suffering from fatigue, cramps, diarrhea and loss of appetite. The prankster was revealed by another associate of the two women after she revealed to this third person her prank of putting Visine drops in her roommate’s water bottle. This person, obviously alarmed, informed the victim who then called the police. I advise this young woman to not pursue a degree in the healthcare field as she has already shown a willingness to both abuse substances and innocents.
